    Saudi Aramco offers investment opportunities within the programs (Iktva) and (Tleed)​


    On Wednesday, June 14, 2023, Asharqia Chamber launched the work of the tenth session of the (Tasheel) program concerned with revitalizing the investment movement in the region, seeking to increase dependence on the local component, and localizing support industries.

    During its participation in the work this session, Saudi Aramco reviewed the procedures for registering and qualifying its suppliers. The work developments in the company’s program contribute to enhancing the total added value of the supply sector in the Kingdom (Iktva), and its “Taled” program, which aims to develop small and medium enterprises in the Kingdom, and what it includes. The two programs are initiatives and the investment opportunities they offer to local investors.

    The Chairman of the Asharqia Chamber, Badr bin Suleiman Al-Ruzaiza, stressed in his speech during the opening of the program the importance of the "Tasheel" program in enriching the economic movement in the region, and seeking to provide more investment opportunities, whether for procurement, manufacturing, or others in front of the business sector and its role in keeping pace with the goals of the vision with action. To increase national investments and localize support industries, praising the role of Saudi Aramco in supporting national options for localizing industries and services, seeking to increase the activity of the investment movement in the region, and contributing to the development of small and medium enterprises through its various programs.​

    Al-Ruzaiza said that the Chamber's endeavor to launch this new cycle of the program is a continuation of its role in keeping pace with the goals and aspirations of the vision by working to stimulate local investment and enhance its role in the national economy. Pointing out that the meeting constitutes support for the investment movement in the region, and pours into what our country aims to enable local content, hoping that this session has contributed to the exploration of the business sector in the area for the opportunities provided by the (Iktifa) and (Tleed) programs and that they have become acquainted with Saudi Aramco procedures for registering and qualifying suppliers.

    For his part, Vice President for Contracts and Procurement at Saudi Aramco, Mr. Salem Al-Huraish, said: "The (Tasheel) program is in line with Saudi Aramco’s goals in achieving more sustainable growth, economic diversification, and providing job opportunities for the sons and daughters of the country under the umbrella of Saudi Vision 2030. This program is considered An extension of the close relationship between the company and the Asharqia Chamber, which was embodied in the opening of the Saudi Aramco office in the chamber in 2012, which was and will remain one of the supporting factors to facilitate the provision of our services to companies.

    Al-Huraish reviewed the company's role in enabling local content through the "Iktva" program, which contributes to enhancing localization efforts through critical areas including digitization, sustainability, industrial services, and manufacturing, as the program achieved 63% of its goals in localizing local content from purchases.     The occasion witnessed the participation of a large number of business sector employees who visited the pavilions of the accompanying exhibition, as Saudi Aramco allowed manufacturers, suppliers, and local investors to register their data as potential suppliers.​
